Basketmouth’s ex-wife, Elsie Okpocha, has taken action against purveyors of false claims about their marriage. This comes amid social media rumours claiming that her marriage crashed because their first child was not for the comedian.
Issuing a stern warning in a legal letter, Elsie described the circulating allegations as false, defamatory, and malicious, stressing that she is worried that unsuspecting Nigerians might take such false publications as the truth.
She concluded by issuing a strong warning of potential civil and criminal actions for reputational harm and emotional distress to her and her family.
