Villarreal forward Georges Mikautadze has come out to hail Manchester City midfielder Rayan Cherki. He recently claimed that the Frenchman is a superior talent to Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, while he respects Yamal for his incredible breakout at Barcelona, he believes Cherki offers a more complete package in the final third.
He added that the former Lyon midfielder has clearly cemented his reputation as one of the most exciting creative forces in world football.
His words, “When you are a footballer, you like to see this kind of player play. Cherki is better than Yamal.
Cherki is Cherki, he plays with both feet and Yamal doesn’t really have that even if he uses his right foot. Cherki is ambidextrous, he has the vision, he scores, he can make others score, he can take set-pieces, he can do everything.”
