Immediate past Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will dislodge the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State in the 2027 governorship election.
Adelabu, who is seeking the APC governorship ticket, made the declaration in a statement made available to journalists on Saturday.

The former minister said his decision to contest on the platform of the APC was driven by his desire to build a better Oyo State.
He disclosed that plans had been concluded for the formal declaration of his governorship ambition on Tuesday in Ibadan, the state capital.
According to him, the declaration would mark the beginning of a renewed political journey aimed at returning the state to what he described as progressive leadership under the APC.
Adelabu expressed confidence that the APC would reclaim power in the state through unity, commitment, and the support of party members and residents.
“APC would reclaim power in the state in 2027 through unity, commitment and the support of party faithful and residents,” he stated.
Adelabu was the APC governorship candidate in the 2019 election but lost to Governor Seyi Makinde of the PDP, who is expected to complete his second term in office in 2027.
