Manchester United legend Roy Keane has firmly dismissed the glowing praise directed at Thomas Tuchel following England’s dramatic 4-2 World Cup victory over Croatia in Group L. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Reacting to the positive reaction to Tuchel’s inspiring half-time team talk that seemed to change the game, Keane insisted that the German manager was merely fulfilling the basic requirements of his role.

Stressing that the reaction has been entirely blown out of proportion, Roy added that Tuchel is just doing his job.
His words, “Is it a bit of an overreaction to his half-time team talk? What’s he supposed to do?
That is his job isn’t it? That’s the manager’s job to give them the information and they go out and produce.
That’s what any top manager will do, you get them at half-time and you remind them what they’re supposed to be doing. It’s a bit over the top.
Every game’s different and every situation is different. I’ve worked with some great managers.
Sometimes you go in at half-time and you think you’re going to get a hard time and they go easy on you, sometimes you think you’re doing well and they go hard on you. It’s what you smell in the game, what he thinks the players need. He’s well qualified to do that.”
WOW.
