Minister of Works, David Umahi, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu remains firmly positioned ahead of the 2027 presidential election, declaring that the President currently has no credible opposition.
Umahi said Tinubu’s leadership and ongoing infrastructure projects across the country have continued to attract public support, making it difficult for opposition figures to challenge his political standing.

The former Ebonyi State governor stated that the administration’s achievements, particularly in road construction and other critical sectors, would further boost public confidence in the President ahead of the next general election.
He maintained that political leaders should be judged by their performance and commitment to national development, insisting that Tinubu’s record in office speaks for itself.
The minister also dismissed concerns over emerging opposition alliances ahead of the 2027 polls, expressing confidence that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would retain broad support across the country.
“No opposition candidate in the 2027 presidential election can match President Bola Tinubu’s achievements and performance,” Umahi said.
According to him, the full impact of the President’s policies and development initiatives will become more evident in the coming years, further strengthening Tinubu’s prospects of securing a second term in office.
