A political aide to the Kebbi State Government has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The aide announced his resignation from the ruling party while explaining his decision to join the opposition party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He said the move was based on his conviction that the ADC provides a better platform for achieving meaningful political and socio-economic change in the country.
The former APC member expressed confidence in the leadership and agenda of the ADC, urging other Nigerians who share similar aspirations to join the party.
His defection comes amid growing political realignments across the country as politicians and supporters reposition themselves ahead of the 2027 elections.
The development is expected to further strengthen the ADC’s presence in Kebbi State as the party intensifies efforts to expand its membership and political structure ahead of the polls.
