A group within the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Zamfara State has criticised Governor Dauda Lawal over the worsening security situation and economic hardship in the state.
The group expressed concern over the challenges confronting residents, particularly the persistent insecurity and its impact on economic activities and livelihoods.

It faulted the state government for what it described as inadequate efforts to address the security challenges and improve the living conditions of residents.
According to the group, insecurity has continued to disrupt economic activities across several communities, leaving residents exposed to fear and hardship.
The NDC group also raised concerns over the economic difficulties faced by citizens, calling for stronger measures to alleviate poverty and create opportunities for residents.
It urged the Lawal administration to intensify efforts to restore security and provide policies capable of improving the state’s economy.
The group further called for greater accountability from the government, stressing that the welfare and safety of residents should remain its primary responsibility.
It maintained that addressing insecurity and economic hardship would require sustained collaboration between the government, security agencies and local communities.
The NDC group urged the governor to take decisive action on the issues raised, warning that continued insecurity and worsening economic conditions could further undermine the wellbeing and development of Zamfara State.
