Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on Wednesday attended the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Adeleke was among prominent political figures who gathered at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, for the inauguration of the council established to coordinate President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign.

The governor’s attendance followed his appointment as the campaign coordinator for Osun State in the APC’s revised Presidential Campaign Council list released on Tuesday.
Adeleke, who was elected governor on the platform of the Accord Party, was named alongside Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
While Adeleke was assigned to coordinate the campaign in Osun, Soludo was named coordinator for Anambra State, while Wike was appointed to oversee the campaign in Rivers State and the FCT.
The inclusion of the three political figures reflects the cross-party coalition assembled to support Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office.
President Tinubu inaugurated the council on Wednesday, charging its members to work together and mobilise support across the country ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The President said the campaign team must communicate the administration’s policies and achievements while addressing the concerns of Nigerians.
Speaking at the event, Adeleke called for continued support for Tinubu, arguing that the President needed another four years to consolidate his economic reforms and allow their intended benefits to materialise.
“We must give our father, the president of this nation, time for his reform to work. It’s not easy. Four years is not enough,” the governor said.
He added that his presence at the inauguration was an expression of support for the President’s re-election bid.
The inauguration brought together governors, ministers, lawmakers, party officials and other political stakeholders from different political platforms.
The development comes as political alignments continue to emerge ahead of the 2027 elections, with Tinubu’s campaign council seeking to consolidate support beyond the APC’s membership.
