Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has said that Matheus Cunha can thrive as a striker. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Stressing that the Brazilian forward is a talented footballer who creates unforgettable moments on the pitch, Carrick stated that Cunha deserves praise for finding himself in great positions against Roma.

Admitting that he was disappointed with the red card, the club legend added that the dismissal only proves how Matheus cares about MUFC.
His words, “Matheus can do those things, he’s got those moments.
We put him inside, we swapped him with Bryan at half-time to try and get him in the middle of the pitch, try and give us a little bit of different shape, and put him in the centre of the pitch, and he found himself in good positions.
Disappointed with how it finished, but again just shows how much he cares and willing to do, and when he’s in that frame of mind, he’s in that mood and he plays like that, that’s what we want from him.”
