    Nollywood actor, Ugezu Ugezu has come out to say that women who secretly give their men money to pay for items when they are in public are in short supply. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

    According to him, he recently saw a clip of a woman handing money to her husband to pay for their meal at a restaurant quietly, and he can only pray that 2023 will produce more of such powerful ladies.

    His words, ”2023 should please produce more of Powerful Ladies like this.

    Honestly, women with this mindset are in short supply.”

    Charles Igwe noted that Norimitsu Onishi also used the name in a September 2002 article he wrote for the New York Times. The term continues to be used in the media to refer to the Nigerian film industry, with its definition later assumed to be a portmanteau of the words “Nigeria” and “Hollywood”, the American major film hub.

    Film-making in Nigeria is divided largely along regional, and marginally ethnic and religious lines.
