A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah, has criticized the deceitfulness displayed by many leaders in Abia State, stating it undermines the party’s electoral prospects.
Ogah made these remarks over the weekend while speaking to journalists after an enlarged meeting of Abia stakeholders of the APC held in Umuahia, the state capital.
“The way forward is peace in the party. That has to unite every leader in the party. Because if there is no peace, we are going nowhere,” Ogah stated.

He emphasized the need for sincerity, adding, “What we need in Abia APC is peace and sincerity of purpose.
Not about lying to the people; tell people the truth. And once you are sincere, the party will move forward. What has held this party down in Abia State is the insincerity of most of the leaders.”
Ogah, a former APC gubernatorial candidate in Abia, called for unity among party leaders. “The leader of the party should be able to put everybody together.
Bring all of us to the same table, present every issue on the table, and we tell ourselves the truth,” he said.
He also praised the developmental strides of President Bola Tinubu’s administration over the past eleven months.
“To assess his achievements is something that can take years to express, but I can tell you the President has done well for the economy of the country.
The economy is having a better outlook. I believe that the future is bright for the country,” Ogah concluded.
