The Accord Party has expressed confidence of winning the August 15, 2026, governorship election in Osun State.
The party urged residents of the state to turn out in large numbers to vote for its candidate, while also appealing to Nigerians to support Accord candidates in the 2027 general elections in pursuit of what it described as inclusive governance.

The appeal was made when the party’s state chairmen paid a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the Accord Party, Maxwell Mgbudem, on Friday.
Addressing the delegation, Mgbudem stressed the need for unity among party members, saying he remained open to constructive advice aimed at building a stronger political platform with national appeal.
He called on party leaders and members to work together to strengthen the party ahead of forthcoming elections.
The national chairman urged members to focus on building a viable platform capable of delivering victory for all Accord candidates and to disregard what he described as the activities of anti-democratic forces seeking to create division within the party.
According to him, such actions were motivated by the party’s growing popularity and acceptance across the country.
Mgbudem also advised members to utilise the party’s internal dispute resolution mechanisms to address grievances in line with the party’s constitution.
He assured members that all issues would be resolved amicably in the overall interest of the party.
The Accord chairman expressed confidence that the party would participate in all forthcoming elections as a united family with the support of Nigerians seeking competent and compassionate leadership.
He said the party remained committed to providing good governance and a credible alternative for Nigerians.
