The Ekiti State chapter of the Action Alliance (AA) has advised Mr. Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, to refrain from making what it described as “frivolous statements” on issues about which he lacks sufficient knowledge.
In a press statement released on Friday, the party’s Ekiti State Secretary, Mr. Omoniyi Agbele, criticized Fayose’s recent call for street protests over alleged poor road conditions and perceived failures in the education system.
“The recent vituperation by Mr. Isaac Fayose, calling for protests, is particularly unhealthy for Ekiti’s democracy and growth,” the statement read.
“It has come to the notice of the Action Alliance Party (AA) in Ekiti State that Mr. Isaac Fayose has called for an unwarranted protest over the state of federal roads and alleged failures in the education system.”
The statement further noted that most of the roads mentioned by Fayose have already been awarded for rehabilitation or reconstruction.
