The Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu has charged Public Servants and Nigerians to support the families of the Nigerian fallen heroes, who paid the supreme price in the course of fighting to ensure the protection of Nigeria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The Minister made this appeal in his office when the National Chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Nican Gayya (Col) led a delegation of legionnaires to pay him a courtesy visit and to decorate him with the emblem recently.
He further said that Nigerians owe the fallen heroes the responsibility of supporting the families they left behind and emphasized the need for public servants to buy the emblem and wear them, in line with Mr. President’s directive. Nican Gayya conveyed appreciation to the Federal Government for the kind support, calling for the understanding of the general public that the proceeds from the sales of the emblem will go a long way in financing the education and health care of the children of the fallen heroes.
Present at the decoration ceremony were the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Rabi Jimeta and Directors of the Ministry.
