The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has approved the establishment of its Rebranding and Constitution Review committees as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the party’s internal structure and public engagement.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, disclosed this to journalists on Tuesday after the inaugural meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) held in Abuja.
Abdullahi said the NWC also approved the creation of two additional committees — Policy Advocacy and Membership Registration — to drive the party’s organisational reforms and grassroots mobilisation.

According to him, the NWC further ratified the schedule for the party’s forthcoming Ekiti and Osun State primary elections, with the Ekiti primaries slated to hold between October 10 and November 20, while the Osun primaries are expected to take place between November and December.
The ADC spokesman added that since many state chapters currently have only their chairmen in place, the NWC has resolved to introduce transition operational guidelines to ensure the smooth running of party activities ahead of the upcoming congresses.
He emphasised that the move was part of the party’s broader strategy to reposition itself as a credible platform for effective governance and democratic participation.
