National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, has reacted to the defection of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso from the party.
Mark spoke on Wednesday in Abuja while addressing members of the forum of former and serving federal lawmakers under the ADC platform.
The former Senate President acknowledged that the exit of the two prominent politicians would have an impact on the party but said the development would motivate members to work harder ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“No doubt, the exit of Obi and Kwankwaso has its impact, but it will spur us to work harder,” he said.
Mark assured Nigerians that the ADC remains committed to presenting credible candidates with the capacity to win elections in 2027.
He expressed confidence that the challenges confronting the party would ultimately strengthen its resolve and position it for electoral success.
The remarks come days after Obi and Kwankwaso officially defected from the ADC to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), citing internal divisions and ongoing court cases within the party as reasons for their departure.
