Respite came the way of the people of Imasayi town in Yewa North Local Government on March 16, 2018, as Hon Dr Ladi Adebutu donated a 500KVA Transformer to the town.
The House Committee on Rural Development Chairman’s intervention was tagged very significant by the Asiwaju of Imasayi, Chief Yemi Oluyomi, who said that the town had suffered total blackout in the last 2 years.
Hon Adebutu, who was welcomed by the chiefs, leaders and people of Imasayi, pledged to be more responsive and responsible to the needs of the Ogun people as the welfare of the people remained topmost in his agenda for a better Ogun State.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Accord Party and various political groups defected to Peoples Democratic Party and were received by Hon Ladi during his visitation to Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government.
The leaders of the decampees who spoke on behalf of others eulogised Hon Ladi and described him as a true friend of the masses. Hon Sunday Fadipe was particularly happy with the good deeds of Adebutu in Ogun State. He pledged the unalloyed loyalty of the decampees.
Alhaji Bisiriyu Popoola, National Ex-Officio of PDP, enjoined the decampees to be committed to the party programs and policies while at the same time assuring them of level playing ground.
The 2019 gubernarorial aspirant did not forget to encourage party faithfuls to mobilise unregistered people to exercise their civic responsibility by registering with Independent Electoral Commission for permanent voters cards.
