
Jubilation rented the air as Mr Taiwo Olatunde of the Celestial Church of Christ, Omi Adio Parish 1, Ibadan, became the proud owner of the star prize Toyota Camry SE at the raffle draw held at the 2017 Christmas Convocation program of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide held at the cathedral ground, Imeko Afon, Ogun State, on Sunday, December 24, 2017.
Hon (Dr) Ladi Adebutu, 2019 Governorship hopeful and Chairman, House Committee on Rural Development sponsored the raffle to celebrate God’s faithfulness and His goodness in people’s lives.
One hundred and seventy six (176) participants won various prizes which included deep freezers, motorcycles, bicycles, microwaves, blenders, electric kettles, hair clippers, sewing machines, industrial gas cookers, generators, hair dryers, pepper grinding machines, cassava grinding machines, standing fans, pressing irons, wall clocks, helmets, table gas cookers and giant coolers.

A delighted Mr Olatunde was overwhelmed with joy at winning the Toyota Camry. “I can’t even explain how elated I am. Right now, I am the happiest man on earth”, he said. Olatunde was full of praises for Hon Ladi. He prayed that Hon Adebutu’s governorship aspiration in 2019 would come to fruition. He enjoined all Ogun residents to throw their weight behind Adebutu who he considered as a man capable of putting smiles on the faces of the people of gateway state.
Assistant Venerable Adeyosoye Ayodeji described the raffle as remarkable, adding that the interesting thing about the draw was that “it is instant, transparent and open”, he said.
Hon Ladi is the Vice Chairman, Central Working Committee and Chairman, Fundraising Committee of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.
The convocation event is a yearly congregation of celestians worldwide and other believers of God.
