    Adelabu Calls For Prayers As Yuletide Season Approaches

    The Ekiti state Deputy Governor, Professor Modupe Adelabu has called for fervent prayers for peace to reign supreme in Nigeria as the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ draws near.
    She made the remarks while receiving the 2013 Father Christmas of the management and staff of BSES and Progress FM in Ado-Ekiti in her office.
    The Ekiti state Deputy Governor, Professor Modupe Adelabu who was represented by her Permanent Secretary, Mr. Babatunde Alokan, while welcoming the Santa Claus stressed the need for peace and love to reign during the Christmas celebration.
    She admonished the rich among Ekiti people to extend God’s blessings upon their lives to their neighbours during the yuletide season so that every member of the society, irrespective of the social status will have a share in the joy of Christmas. the spirit of love radiate and promised the station’s commitment to serve the state better.
    She congratulated the management and staffs of Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State (BSES) for the various programmes on the BSES and Ekiti Television (EKTV) which she said have made the stations popular in the state and its environ.
    Responding, the Director-General, BSES, Mr. Sina Awelewa expressed appreciation to Governor Kayode Fayemi for the support given to the station to excel.
    Similarly, the Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Professor Modupe Adelabu received the Father Christmas of the Progress FM in Ado-Ekiti.
    She urged the children at the occasion to be obedient to their parents and shun any adventure that could endanger their lives as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
    The General Manager, Progress FM, Ado Ekiti, Pastor Dare Olorunfemi represented by Mr. Femi Oladipo said the reason for bringing the Santa Claus was to entertain the children.
    Gifts were presented to the Deputy Governor by the Father Christmas to signify the mood of the season.
