AET Unveils Consolidated Patient Information Exchange

NORFOLK, NE–(Marketwired – May 20, 2014) – AET has introduced Consolidated Patient Information (CPI) Exchange™, a patent pending, HIPAA compliant e-Health platform that integrates video conferencing with data exchange and is vendor neutral to EHR vendors or radiologic imaging manufacturers.

With CPI Exchange, any and all data can be easily uploaded/downloaded to a virtual patient file (EHR, lab, radiology images, voice, video, etc.); the data is also secured by the highest levels of encryption and meets key industry standards such as FIPS 140-2, DIACAP, ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485-2003.

According to AET CEO Dr. Keith Vrbicky, CPI Exchange resolves interoperability issues that have plagued many healthcare information exchanges.

And this timely sharing can also:

    • Decrease duplicate testing
    • Avoid medication errors
    • Avoid readmissions
    • Improve access and diagnoses

“Our technology solutions have been developed by physicians and engineers that understand the work flow of healthcare services. CPI Exchange creates a patient folder available to authorized personnel via computer or any mobile device; it also provides a higher level of communication among all caregivers through a videoconferencing solution that eliminates hardware investment,” said Vrbicky. “The electronic patient folders can also be stored and made available for at least seven years.”

Vrbicky added that patients’ medical records are accessible regardless of location via the CPI Exchange Web Portal. Another unique aspect is a national health call/communications center that coordinates and manages scheduling consultations and data exchange.

“A simple phone call to the coordination center by the physician or hospital puts the CPI Exchange service in motion,” said Vrbicky.
