Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari has engaged 5,000 out-of-school students in WAEC and NECO tutorial classes across the 21 local government areas in Adamawa State.
State Supervisor, Future Assured Foundation, Alhaji Yau Babayi, revealed this during the graduation of 600 women and youths, trained in several skills acquisition and entrepreneurship skills in Yola.
Yau said that the foundation was set up by Aisha Buhari to aid and empower women and youths across the state.
He added that the training was meant to support the less privileged youths who could not pass WAEC and NECO examinations, but still want to further their education despite not having any means of registration.
His words, “Under the Future Assured Foundation, in collaboration with Qatar Charity Foundation, a total of 600 women and youths graduated in various skills.
“This includes: tailoring, hair dressing, computer graphics, building and welding, among others.
“Also about 5,000 out of school students have been engaged in WAEC and NECO tutorial classes; and the foundation is going to pay for their examination.”
“The central zone’s venue will be Aliyu Musdafa College, Yola, while the College of Agriculture, Ganye, will be the venue for the southern zone.”
Way to go First Lady.
