Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has shared a deeply personal story about his experience growing up with albinism, describing it as a period filled with bullying, body shaming, and rejection.
In a post on his official X handle, the governor reflected on the challenges he faced as a child, noting that those experiences shaped his resilience and outlook on life.
“Growing up with albinism wasn’t easy; I faced bullying, body shaming, and rejection. But today, by God’s grace, I stand proudly,” he wrote.

Governor Eno emphasised that his journey has strengthened his faith and gratitude to God, whom he credits for his survival and achievements.
He also revealed that his personal experience has inspired him to show compassion to others with albinism, ensuring they receive recognition and honour whenever he encounters them.
