A man identified as Musa Abdulai, suspected to be a supplier of food to bandits in Ekiti State, has been arrested by operatives of the Amotekun Corps.
According to a press release obtained by Newsmen from the Head of Communications of the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps, Officer Adeleye Abiodun, the 35-year-old suspect, an indigene of Sokoto State residing in Shasha, Akure, Ondo State, was arrested on Monday, October 7, 2024, at about 6:30 p.m.
Adeleye explained that Abdulai was apprehended by Amotekun operatives from the Ise-Ekiti Local Government Command during a patrol at the Oritan Forest Reserve, located between Ise and Orun.

“The suspect confessed to supplying food items to individuals believed to be Fulani/Bororo bandits operating from the forest,” the statement read.
Items recovered from Abdulai at the scene included a sack containing foodstuffs, believed to be intended for the bandits.
The suspect has been handed over to the Divisional Police Station in Ise-Ekiti for further investigation.
The Amotekun Corps reiterated its commitment to maintaining security across the state and urged residents to report suspicious activities to authorities.
