Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, popularly known as Amotekun Corps, have uncovered and dismantled a criminal syndicate involved in child trafficking and organ harvesting.
The syndicate was said to have stolen several children from Ondo State and trafficked them to accomplices in Anambra State.
According to the Ondo State Amotekun Commander, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, the operation followed the abduction of a young boy, Eriponmile, from the Ijoka Davog area of Akure, the state capital.

Speaking while parading the arrested suspects, Adeleye said the corps responded swiftly to a distress call and successfully rescued the child within 48 hours.
“We received a distress call from the Ijoka Davog area that Eriponmile had been kidnapped and taken away, and we immediately swung into action,” Adeleye said.
“Within 48 hours, our indicators showed that Eriponmile was already outside Ondo State. We spread out our dragnet, deployed our plainclothes operatives, and by the grace of God, we were able to bring Eriponmile back to Ondo State to be reunited with his parents.”
He added that the child was tracked to a hospital in the eastern part of the country, where medical tests had been conducted in preparation for organ harvesting.
“The team tracked the boy to a hospital in the eastern part of the country, where he had already been tested and declared medically fit to be harvested by one Amaka, suspected to be a major player in the gruesome trade,” Adeleye revealed.
Three suspects — Amaka Ngozi Ifeanyi, Adaeze Kenneth Etose, and one Omolara — have been arrested, while two others are currently on the run.
Father of the rescued boy, Mr. Eriseun Omolewo, expressed gratitude to the Amotekun Corps for their swift and effective intervention in rescuing his son.
The Ondo Amotekun Corps has reiterated its commitment to safeguarding lives, especially those of vulnerable children, across the state.
