Ex-BBNaija housemate, Beverly Osu, has come out to blast the organisers of the AMVCA awards. She recently had her say via her social media page, and fans have been reacting.
According to her, the major focus on the Nigerian fashion scene at the 2025 AMVCA awards is something that must be frowned upon, especially after a platform like Cannes awards set boundaries by banning nudity and massive trains on their red carpet.
Beverly added that AMVCA organisers deserve criticism for moving in the opposite direction while foreign award shows keep the spotlight on actors and movie producers.
Her words, “While Cannes is setting boundaries by banning nudity and massive trains on the red carpet to refocus attention on actors and filmmakers, AMVCA is spiraling in the opposite direction. What was once a celebration of African cinematic excellence now looks like a masquerade parade.”
