Anthony Martial will face no further punishment for an alleged kick on Huddersfield’s Tommy Smith during Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday.
Martial appeared to kick out at the Huddersfield defender after he had caught him with a tackle by the touchline.
The incident was missed by referee Lee Mason, although both Martial and Smith saw yellow moments later after squaring up to each other following a different clash.
The FA has reviewed footage of Martial’s kick but decided it did not warrant further investigation or referral to the disciplinary panel.
Martial was substituted at half-time with Huddersfield 2-0 up thanks to goals from Aaron Mooy and Laurent Depoitre.
