A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has said members of the party found guilty of anti-party activities would face sanctions.
George stated this as the party intensifies efforts to reconcile its factions following internal leadership disputes.

The PDP has recently moved toward reconciliation after the faction led by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki agreed to comply with the advice of the Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan to pursue reconciliation.
The Turaki-led leadership has reportedly held several meetings since the appellate court’s judgment on Monday, with discussions including the possibility of engaging with the faction believed to be backed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Observers also say the party is considering a recent appeal by former Senate President Bukola Saraki, who urged PDP leaders to end frequent court battles and focus on resolving internal disputes, particularly in view of timelines set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on News Day, a programme on Arise News on Thursday, George said disciplinary measures would be taken against members who violated party rules.
“There will be. You know, you are either straight or you are awkward,” he said.
“If you are straight and you have the fear of the Almighty God ahead of you, you fear nothing. I’m not saying people don’t make mistakes.
“Life is a gale of happiness, a gale of sadness, a gale of hard times and good times,” George added.
He further noted that challenges and trials are part of life and can strengthen individuals who endure them.
According to him, those who remain steadfast during difficult periods often emerge stronger.
