Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca has come out to warn disgruntled fans over their expectations of his playing style. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the supporters have to accept his playing style once and for all, instead of seeing football matches as PlayStation games where you can win matches easily.

Maresca added that every EPL game is difficult, and his players will adhere to his instructions or get subbed off.
His words, “The people have to understand this is our way, our style, and this is the way we are going to play. When a team creates the amount of chances we created, you have to be happy. It’s not easy. Leicester, until minute 83, were 0-0 against Arsenal (actually minute 81, in a 2-0 loss on February 15); the same thing happened against (Manchester) City (they were beaten 2-0 on December 29, but only trailed by one until the 74th minute). If you think football is just a PlayStation (game) and you win easy, no way — every game is difficult. The way the players have done is fantastic.
We need our fans. On my Instagram, I said two days ago our Champions League (qualification) target will be with our fans supporting us, and especially when you play at home. We need them behind the players with the spirit they showed.”
On fans booing Fernandez for a back pass, “Yeah, but the good thing is that Fernandez knows that if he doesn’t play back, I will change him. If the keeper plays long, I will change him. This is what we have.
My message to Filip (Jorgensen) was: “If you play long ball, I will change you.” So he was just doing what I told him to.
WOW.
Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, they play their home games at Stamford Bridge.
The club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football. They won their first major honour, the League championship, in 1955. The club won the FA Cup for the first time in 1970, their first European honour, the Cup Winners’ Cup, in 1971, and became the third English club to win the Club World Cup in 2022.
On 7 May 2022, Chelsea confirmed that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, to acquire the club. The group was later known as BlueCo.
The UK government approved the £4.25bn takeover, ending Abramovich’s 19-year ownership of the club. Bruce Buck, who served as chairman since 2003, was replaced by Boehly, while long-serving club director and de facto sporting director Marina Granovskaia left, as did Petr Čech from the role of technical and performance advisor.
