The National Caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which was earlier scheduled to hold today, has been postponed to a later date.
In the same vein, the Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting, expected to hold this week, has been rescheduled.
However, the meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) will hold this Friday in Abuja.
National chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, who confirmed the postponement in a chat with reporters at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday, did not give any reason for delay nor provided any information on the new dates for the meetings.
While affirming that the NEC meeting will hold this Friday, Mr. Oyegun, however, refused to give details of what would be discussed.
It was learnt that the caucus and BoT meetings were rescheduled to allow for further consultations among members of the party in light of recent developments, which have threatened the very foundations of the APC.
Furthermore, the postponements might not be unconnected with the fact that some key members of the party had traveled for the lesser hajj.
