Ahmad Dan Wudil, a concerned member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has petitioned the party’s National Secretariat, calling for the elimination of the APC’s leadership in Zamfara State.
The petition, which was made public and addressed to the party’s Acting National Chairman, claimed to provide a “conscious, sincere, and objective analysis” of the upcoming general elections in 2023.
To the best of my knowledge, APC won the presidential election in Zamfara State but lost the governorship race due to the sheer incompetence of the State party leadership. As a card-carrying member of APC in Zamfara State, I humbly urge your good office to make this known.
“It’s also crucial to bring to your attention that the party is in a comatose situation in the state because the ward, local government, and state levels are not holding Exco meetings as mandated by the party’s constitution.
“I also observed with dismay that since the state party chairman, Tukur Umar Danfulani assumed office, he has not even spared his time to be in the office, which indicates lack of commitment,” he said.
With these realities in mind, he stated, “Zamfara APC members urge you to invoke the power vested in you by the party’s constitution, to dissolve the party leadership from the ward, local government, and state levels for the party to be united and formidable.”
