The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced moves to ensure that it takes over Taraba State in 2023.

Speaking in Jalingo, the state capital, the former Minister of Power and one time Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey, Ahmad A. Malammadori, said the party has resolved to entrench internal democracy in the state chapter of the party.

More to that, the party according to Malammadori who was also the state congress appeal chairman, said the party has as well resolved to carry the entire members of the party along irrespective of the differences in background.

Urging the members to close rank, the party, as made known by him, has all the necessary prerequisites to ascend the position of leadership come next political dispensation slated for 2023.

Malammadori, who went ahead to cite the calibers of APC members spread across the state, charged the members to put aside all forms of sentiment and rally around candidates that would eventually emerge as the party’s flag bearer for the next poll.

Noting that the appeal committee is in the state to attend to petitions that may arise from the just concluded ward congresses of the party, he assured the party’s stakeholders and petitioners of the committee’s readiness to give fair hearings to all petitions.

Malammadori who admitted that “in a process like this, there are bound to be complaints and grievances”, the committee, according to him, will attend to any petition that would be made available to them within the specified period of time.

Narrating how the party has perfected plans to triumph at the coming poll, he said party members should endeavor to reach out to the grassroots in order to make the party’s dream a reality.

Also aligning his weight to that of the Malammadori, the party state chairman, Barrister Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi, told PDP to as a matter of urgency begin to source for other members of livelihoods.

Believing that no “single individual ” irrespective of how placed he or she is , is above the party, the party according to him, will tread all legitimate paths to make the differences in the next political dispensation.

El-Sudi who was of the view that ” issue of elections in Taraba is a collective responsibility” passionately called on the teeming members of the to unite and work as a team for the success of the party stating that “this is the time for all hands to be on deck “.

Unlike other parts of the federation where appeal committees are being confronted with heaps of petitions, the reverse was the case in the state as no party member had written petitions or complaints condemning the conduct of the exercise.

Before the arrival of the committee, a notice urging party members who were candidates in the just concluded congress to submit petitions or complaints was observed to have been earlier issued.

The committee, in the state to address complaints and petitions arising from the exercise, as gathered by InfoStride News would no doubt leave the state without receiving any petition or complaints as the exercise was adjudged to be successful.
