The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State on Saturday concluded its state congress, resulting in the emergence of new members of the party’s executive council.
The executives emerged through a consensus process held in Gusau, the state capital. The exercise was supervised by officials from the party’s national headquarters, led by Hadiza Balarabe, and monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Speaking after the exercise, Balarabe said the congress was conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner.
According to her, the process produced Kabiru Moyi as state chairman, Sani Musa as vice chairman, Ibrahim Danmaliki Gidangoga as secretary, Yusuf Idris as auditor, and Ibrahim Birnin Magaji as publicity secretary, among other officials.
In his remarks, Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, described the congress as successful and a step towards the party’s preparations for the 2027 general elections.
He urged the newly elected executives to work towards unity and the progress of the party across the state.
The governor also commended Balarabe and members of the congress committee for their efforts in ensuring a smooth exercise.
Lawal further called on party stakeholders to continue cooperating with the leadership to strengthen the APC in Zamfara State.
