The All Progressives Congress (APC) has distanced itself from the hate speech by Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu that anyone that refuses to vote for APC governorship candidate in Lagos, Akin Ambode, will die in the Lagoon within seven days.
Condemning the monarch’s position via twitter, the party whose candidate won the March 28 presidential election had delayed comment on the speech which was made on Sunday. However, a backlash across social networking sites made a reaction from the party very crucial.
The Oba of Lagos does not speak for the APC. From Gen. Buhari down to Desmond Elliot, even true APC supporters, no hate speeches made so far

Bad is bad, irrespective of where it comes from. We highly condemn the comments made by the highly respected Oba of Lagos in strong terms
