The All Progressives Congress (APC) state working committee in Kano has taken decisive action against some Ward Party Leaders who suspended the National Chairman of the Party, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje.
Reports indicated that the APC Ganduje ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government had suspended Ganduje. However, the party’s local government officials quickly thwarted the suspension and removed those responsible.
The APC Dawakin Tofa Local Government Chairman, Inusa Dawanau, informed reporters that those behind the suspension of the National Chairman were engaged in anti-party activities, and their records of meetings with the opposition had been exposed.

In response to the suspension of the APC Ward leaders, the state working committee of the Party announced that they have sanctioned the perpetrators for six months.
Additionally, a special investigations panel has been set up to verify several allegations against them.
The Kano Chairman of the Party, Abdullahi Abbas, confirmed that the decisions of the local government Party Leaders have been adopted, stating, “We have evidence of meetings between the state government officials and those that suspended the National Chairman. The state working committee has agreed to sanction them for six months, and they are now suspended.”
However, one of the accused party members, Halliru Gwanjo, defended their decision to suspend Ganduje from the party, citing allegations leveled against him by the Kano State government regarding bribery.
