    Eid-el-Kabir: Police To Deploy 7,000 Officers In Kwara

    About 7,000 policemen will be on ground in Kwara State to ensure the people of the state enjoy a peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

    The state Police command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi said this on Thursday in an interview.

    According to him, all operational sections, including Explosive Ordinance Department (EOD), the intelligence Unit will be activated. Dogs will also be deployed to sniff around for any dangerous object. Areas prone to violence across the state will also be seriously manned.

    Okasanmi however urged residents to be vigilant during the festival and report any suspicious movement.

    He promised the people of the state of the police’s readiness to ensure the state is safe during and after the Sallah festival.
