Timi Frank, spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) may stands the risk of suspension or expulsion. These were the recommendations by disciplinary committee set up by the party.
A five-man committee which was set up by the zonal executive chairman, South-South, Utufam Eliad Etah also recommended Mr Frank’s expulsion for making “embarrassing comments” against the party.
Frank failed to appear before the panel saying he could not “appear before any kangaroo committee.”
The recommendations of the committee reads:
“Since the committee is not a father Christmas, it has no choice than to rely on the Prima Facie evidence tendered by the petitioner. Consequent upon which, the committee hereby recommends as follows:
1. That Timi Frank be suspended from the party forthwith in line with Article 21 D (f).
2. The Zonal executive committee should recommend to the NEC for the expulsion of Timi Frank from the party in line with Article 21 D (h).
Frank who is APC’s deputy publicity secretary had on several occasions expressed displeasure over the party’s unwillingness to allowed him to fill in the former position of Minister for Information, Lai Mohammed.
Frank had continuously criticised with the leadership style of John Odigie-Oyegun, the APC national chairman.
