Even as the All Progressives Congress (APC) still retain the believe that President Muhammadu Buhari was going to be named winner of the 2019 Presidential Election, the party has still called its legal team for an emergency meeting on matters concerning the results.
The Guardian reports that the legal heads of the APC Presidential Campaign Council met on Wednesday, February 26.
A Guardian source also disclosed that the meeting will focus on all things connected to the elections and the legal actions that will most likely trail the announcement of the overall winner.
“Members of the Legal Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council are hereby invited to an emergency meeting of the Directorate on Wednesday 27 February 2019 at 4 pm,” APC said in a message to its legal team.
“The Directorate is to discuss crucial issues pertaining to the 2019 presidential election and prepare for any likely legal issues arising therefrom.”
