Apple is giving free screen replacement for iPhone 11: Here’s how to check if yours is eligible

Apple recently launched a free repair program for some iPhone 11 users.
The firm said that iPhone 11’s screen may have issues where it might stop responding to touch inputs.
This affects only iPhone 11 units that were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020.
But while that is a good move by Apple, many might not be knowing how to check if their iPhone units were manufactured between the given time frame and are eligible for a replacement.
That’s why we are here to help.
To check for eligibility, you would first need to check the iPhone 11’s serial number. And there are multiple ways to do .
-In the Settings app in iPhone 11, go to ‘General’ and ‘About’.
–Check iPhone 11 packaging, receipt and invoice.
–Plug in the iPhone 11 to a computer and check the serial number via Finger/Music.
After getting the serial number, go to Apple’s dedicated support website and enter it in the box to find out the eligiblity for a free display replacement.
In case your iPhone 11 is facing touch issues and is eligible, you can go to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for free replacement.
The company won’t change the panel of the iPhone 11 but the display module. The firm even says that this program covers iPhone 11 for 2 years after the first retail sale.
However, if the handset is damaged, which ‘impairs the ability to complete the repair, such as a cracked screen; that issue will need to be resolved prior to the service’. And it might cost you extra.
Apple launched the iPhone 11 last year along with the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.
The iPhone 11 has a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina HD display.
It’s been over a year since this iPhone made its debut.
