When Apple launched the iPhone 12 series smartphones last year, it made a significant change to the packaging of the device.

It removed the charger from the box of its iPhone 12 series.
Now, word is that the company is planning to make another significant change to the series.

The company, as per a report by GizChina, is planning to do more cost-cutting by changing the after-sales benefits for specific models in the iPhone 12 series.
The company reportedly is planning to discontinue some of the free replacement benefits for the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Mini.
The report says that the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Mini smartphones that have power issues; logic board issues; Face ID; or device enclosure issues will get repairs instead of device replacement; which was the case until now.
In addition to that, a bunch of other parts such as wireless charging coil, Taptic Engine; and Face ID system among others will also get repaired at the authorised service providers instead of the entire device getting replaced.

It is worth noting that, at the moment these changes are being made only to the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Mini. But the report states that it is possible that; the iPhone-maker extends these changes to the other iPhone 12 models; that is, the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max; in the coming days.

It is powered by A14 Bionic chipset that is coupled with a storage space of up to 256GB.
    It comes with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12MP wide-angle lens.
On the front, it has a 12MP Face ID camera.
It is backed by a Lithium-ion battery with up to 17 hours video playback time.
