Arsenal striker, Alessia Russo has come out to thank the Gunners supporters after their North London derby win over Tottenham at the Emirates. She recently had her say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to her, the atmosphere Arsenal fans always give to the team during match days is absolutely beautiful, and she really loves playing for the club and for the supporters.
Russo added that the fans were definitely key to Arsenal getting all 3 points vs a strong Tottenham team.
Her words, “I love playing here. The fans and the whole atmosphere are incredible and us as players can feel them from the first minute to the last. We needed them today at points and they always come through and it’s great to play here.”

On 20 December 2019, Arsenal appointed former club captain Mikel Arteta as the new head coach. Arsenal finished the league season in eighth, their lowest finish since 1994–95, but beat Chelsea 2–1 to earn a record-extending 14th FA Cup win. After the season, Arteta’s title was changed from head coach to manager.
