Arsenal fan and controversial TV presenter, Piers Morgan has blasted those saying Arsenal Football Club will miss Aaron Ramsey as soon as he joins Juventus.
He begs to differ and has come out to say that the London club ‘won’t miss him as much as people think’.
The switch of clubs shocked many since he was given a major role in Unai Emery’s team which got reduced after the speculations of an exit.
Arsenal faced backlash for allowing another key player leave the club in such an easy manner.
Piers said, “Aaron Ramsey reminds me of Olivier Giroud – they’re both very good footballers, but honestly we haven’t missed Giroud at all since he left and I don’t think we’re going to miss Ramsey anything like the way people keep going on about it,”
“The truth is, Ramsey for the last few years has been a perfectly good player in the team, but under Emery he hasn’t started that many games.
“Recently he’s started playing well because he’s got his big deal and good luck to him. He’s been a good servant to the team.
“But Ramsey has been part of the least successful Arsenal team over a decade-long period that we’ve probably ever had.
“So let’s get things in perspective.
“We need world class players to come in. I think we’ve got some in the team.
“Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are beginning to show that they’re pretty formidable as a forward duo, Mesut Ozil is world class when he fancies it but doesn’t fancy it enough, and I think we’re seeing some of the other come through as well.
“But honestly, does the future of Arsenal depend on Ramsey? I don’t see it.
“Some Arsenal fans may disagree with me, but I just don’t.”
