Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has raised concerns over the simultaneous absence of President Bola Tinubu and his deputy, Kashim Shettima, from the country, especially amidst the nation’s daunting challenges.
Atiku expressed his worries in a post on his X handle on Monday, describing the absence of both leaders as unusual.
He questioned who is in charge of the government in their absence, suggesting that the country might be on autopilot.

Shettima’s visit to the United States of America for the US-Africa Business Summit has coincided with Tinubu’s extended stay abroad after attending the Special World Economic Forum meeting, leading to speculations about a leadership vacuum at the nation’s seat of power.
