Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has criticised President Bola Tinubu over his reported vacation in Europe, arguing that the President should remain focused on the challenges confronting Nigeria.
Atiku said the country was facing serious economic and security difficulties that required the full attention of the President.
The former vice president questioned the timing of Tinubu’s trip, describing Nigeria as a country facing multiple crises.
He argued that the President should prioritise addressing the hardship, insecurity and other problems affecting Nigerians.
Atiku also criticised the Tinubu administration’s handling of the country’s challenges, insisting that the government must demonstrate greater commitment to improving the lives of citizens.
He urged the Federal Government to take decisive steps to address the economic difficulties facing Nigerians and restore confidence in the country.
The former vice president’s comments come amid growing political exchanges between the opposition and the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
