Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Saturday hosted the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to a breakfast meeting at his residence in Adamawa State.
In a video shared on his X handle, Atiku was seen walking alongside Obi into the dining area of his home.
This is the second known meeting between the two politicians this year. In May, Atiku hosted Obi at his Abuja residence, fueling speculations about a possible alliance ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Atiku, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in 2019, had Obi as his running mate during that election.
Obi later defected to the Labour Party in 2022, just seven months before the 2023 elections.
Atiku, 78, has previously stated his intention to continue contesting for the Nigerian presidency as long as he remains healthy.
Despite running for the position six times, he is yet to secure victory in his presidential bids.
The recent meeting has reignited conversations about the political future of both Atiku and Obi and their potential strategies for the next electoral cycle.
