Senator Iyiola Omisore, has reportedly refunded a total of N350million to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. According to a report by The Nation Newspaper, Omisore, a former Deputy Governor of Osun State, paid back the sum, which is part of the N1.7billion public funds traced to him. It was reported that Omisore first made a payment of N300million and another N50million to to the anti-graft agency on Friday, November 4, 2016. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has reportedly placed a ban on all visits. According to a report by Daily Post, the ban is coming following the release of ex-Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro and ex-presidential spokesman, Rueben Abati. It was reported that the anti-graft agency has also banned suspects and inmates from making phone calls to their lawyers and family member. It was further gathered that the decision made by EFCC is as a result of numerous solidarity visits to politicians and suspects in custody, including Bala Mohammed and Femi Fani-Kayode.
