The Senate President, Bukola Saraki held a meeting with President Buhari behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja on Tuesday, December 20, 2016.
According to Punch, the meeting might be connected to the rejection of Ibrahim Magu, the Chairman of the EFCC.
This is coming on the heels of a similar meeting between Buhari and the Senate majority leader, Ali Ndume.
Reports say the meeting between the Senate President and Buhari lasted for only 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof Itse Sagay has urged President Buhari to re-submit Magu’s name to the Senate.
Sagay described the allegations against the EFCC boss as weak and unsubstantiated.
Magu’s was rejected by the Senate following some allegations raised against him in a report authored by the Department of State Services (DSS).

This shameful pleading for someone accused of corruption before any investigation clears him can only happen in Nigeria. And if the gentleman is really one, why has he not submitted his resignation? Well, I have forgotten that he may be holding one of the saintly APC membership cards.
