Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke have rescued three persons kidnapped by bandits in Nasarawa State. The Coordinator of Defence Media Operations, John Enenche Major General, disclosed this in a statement on Friday. He explained that the rescue operation was conducted on Thursday at Mararaba Udege general area in Nasarawa Local Government Area. Huawei is appealing a court decision that allowed Swedish telecoms regulator PTS to resume 5G spectrum auctions; with the intention to exclude the Chinese telecom equipment maker from its 5G networks. A Swedish court had on 16th December 2020 backed an appeal by PTS to overturn a ruling to stop the auctions. Seven persons have been kidnapped at Kadauri village within the Jabaka District of Maru local government area in Zamfara State. One person was also shot in the leg by the unknown gunmen who invaded the village. Authorities say the injured man is currently receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital. Three Nigerians have been arrested in the Philippines after they were caught with banned substances.
