President Muhammadu Buhari has been declared winner of the presidential elections in Ogun state. The State Collation Officer for the Presidential election, Prof. Joseph Adeola-Fuwape revealed results at the INEC headquarters in Abeokuta on Monday and Buhari polled 281,762 votes while Peoples Democratic Party received 194,655 votes. The total sum of registered voters was 2,336, 887 while the accredited ones were 613,397. Buhari won in 14 of the 20 council areas in the state leaving the remaining six for Atiku Abubakar.

The wide margin was lesser than the 160,143 votes with which Buhari defeated GEJ 4 years ago in the megapolis. Buhari got 792,460 then while Jonathan received 632,327.
