The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has seized 1,100 firearms that were being smuggled in from Turkey at the Tin-Can Island Port, Lagos. Joseph Attah, the agency’s spokesperson revealed this recently. He said, “We have seized 1,100 weapons at Lagos port. They came from Turkey. Investigation has commenced. A customs officer, who is a suspect has been arrested. Mr Babatunde Fashola has begged the power sector stakeholders to co-operate with the Nigerian Electricity and Regulatory Commission (NERC) in performance of its regulatory functions.
