Nigeria’s crude oil production has risen to two million barrels per day, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu has said. Kachikwu said the country now produces additional 200,000 barrels per day, up from the 1.8 million bpd recorded in recent times. He disclosed this when he met with the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) to defend the 2017 budget estimates of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
